Flooring!

Landon and I picked out some hardwood flooring a little while back that we loved and it is finally being installed!  We went to pick it all up downtown and box by box unloaded it into the "office".  (I'm getting better at all this heavy lifting stuff).

On Sunday night we worked late into the night ripping up carpet, removing the staples, etc.  Ugh, hard work, but it was worth it to do some of the work!  The hard wood flooring is going in the whole main level except the office.  It is so exciting to see the transformation!  Here is a before pictures (before we moved in that is) a middle picture and a picture with a sneek peek of what the flooring will look like.

Spring is here!

I just returned from a trip to Indiana this week and then I worked, slept, worked, slept etc.  Not much time to do anything when you work 12 hour shifts in a row.  Today I made a trip to Target to get some necessities (including a watering hose) and low and behold when I walked outside around the back of the house I saw a bunch of beautiful blooming Iris!!!!  My eyes lit up and I got so excited.  The trees are green and the flowers are blooming!

I had no one to celebrate with at the time, so I sent a picture to my family and they immediately responded so I could have someone to be excited with!  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! 

The Beginning...

We just bought our first home!  So I created this blog because everyone has been asking for pictures and updates.  This is my very first blog, so I will do my best to keep it up and post the before and after pictures as they come.

We love the location, very close to Landon's brother and sister-in-law.  The neighborhood is quiet and everyone is so friendly so far.  We are on an end lot so the yard is a nice size and there is a bike path right beside our house!  The house is wonderful for us.  There are so many windows and it is always bright.  There is a beautiful mountain view from the master as well which I really enjoy.  We have been busy picking out flooring, counter tops, paint, furniture, cleaning, doing yard work, etc. in our spare times between our completely opposite schedules.  It is slow going, but we are enjoying the process.  So much to do with a new home!!  We are looking forward to all our visitors coming this summer!
